Shell Corena S4 R is primarily an advanced synthetic air compressor oil designed to deliver the highest performance lubrication for rotary sliding vane and screw air compressors. It utilizes a unique additive system to ensure excellent protection and performance for compressors with oil maintenance intervals of up to 10,000 hours and up to 12,000 hours under certain conditions. This product is also suitable for applications requiring a synthetic bearing & circulating oil or R&O oil (ISO vg 32-68). It is ideal for oil-flooded or oil-injected vane compressors, single or two-stage compressors operating at pressures exceeding 25 bar and air discharge temperatures over 100ºC, including intermittent operation under such conditions. The product may also be used where exceptionally high ambient temperatures are prevalent. Recommended for ABB turbochargers fitted to low and medium-speed diesel engines in marine and power generation applications under specific conditions.
