RENAIR 46 is a compressor oil that is formulated using carefully selected solvent-refined mineral oils. This ensures optimal oxidation inhibition, excellent corrosion prevention, and minimal coking tendency. RENAIR oils comply with and exceed the requirements of DIN 51 506 for lubricating oils and DIN 51 356 for carbon residue. These oils also contain additives to reduce wear and oxidation, allowing for higher load capacity, more severe operating conditions, and prolonged oil service intervals. RENAIR oils are highly recommended for oil-lubricated air compressors, including rotary screw, reciprocating, and certain types of rotary vane compressors. Their exceptional resistance to thermal decomposition also allows them to serve as quality heat transfer oils in both enclosed and cold expansion systems, suitable for use at temperatures up to 300ºC. For specific selection of viscosity grades, consult the compressor manufacturer's manual. Large reciprocating piston-type compressors operating at elevated temperatures and with an increased tendency for carbonaceous deposits should use Unisyn OL series compressor fluid for safety reasons.
