The principle of this process is to convert steel surfaces to the black oxide of steel, commonly known as “gun barrel blue”. This gives a very pleasing and decorative finish.

The “Colorsal” process is particularly adaptable to metal stamping, machine tool fittings, hand tools, rifle and gun parts, instrument components, etc., and is in great demand by manufacturers who previously employed various types of plating but found these processes too expensive.

The original outlay on equipment, for the “Colorsal” process is exceptionally low and as practical tests prove that 1kg of “Colorsal” will treat over 100,000 sq. cm. Of steel surface, the running costs are very small in comparison to the quantity of work that can be processed.
