Remove loose rust, paint, oil, or wax residue with a wire brush or similar tool. Wash off any existing salts. Apply Korroplex using a brush, spray, or roller, ensuring a single application layer of 12-15 µ. Avoid applying in direct sunlight.
Suitable for use on iron and steel surfaces, whether automotive panels, machinery parts, or construction elements.
The Forch L237 Korroplex Rust Convert 1L is designed for professional use in workshops. It penetrates surfaces after the removal of loose rust and neutralizes and stabilizes iron oxides, converting them into an insoluble, organometallic compound. This converted layer is blue-black, making it easily recognizable for operators. The fast reaction time of Korroplex, coupled with its additional insulation and blocking effect, prevents 'lightning-quick corrosion' and acts as an adhesion promoter for subsequent painting. This product is paintable and fillable, leaving no brush marks even on wet surfaces. It covers approximately 25 m² per liter and can be applied using a brush, spray, or roller. The processing temperature ranges from +5°C to +40°C. Don't apply in full sun and, after a three-hour reaction time, it can be painted or filled with all solvent-based products. Clean utensils with water after use.
