Jump starting seems simple – but done wrong, it can fry electronics or cause injury.
Steps to follow:
1. Connect positive (red) to dead battery first
2. Then positive to the donor battery
3. Connect negative (black) to donor ground
4. Connect last negative clamp to engine block or chassis ground – NOT to the dead battery
5. Start donor car, wait 1 minute, then crank the flat vehicle
